Danny VanBelle descubrió el mundo submarino durante unas vacaciones a Tailandia en 1996. esta nueva experiencia se convirtió en pasión cuando comenzó a filmar, con tanto éxito que ha cosechado múltiples premios en los más relevantes Festivales Internacionales, incluyendo varias Palmas de Oro de forma consecutiva. Durante su trayectoria, ha ido especializándose en filmaciones macro, y ha llegado a impartir conferencias enseñando sus técnicas y medios de aproximación a la fauna. Con Ventanas de la Vida se aprecia el gran trabajo y la técnica de filmación empleadas para lograr un interesante y magnífico documental dedicado a los ojos y forma de visión de los seres marinos.
